Utah Valley Women's Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's basketball head coach Dan Nielson has announced the Wolverines' 2026-27 schedule, highlighted by matchups against Power Four opponents Utah and BYU and the program's inaugural season in the Big West Conference.

"I'm really excited about the schedule we've put together this year," Nielson said. "We decided to challenge ourselves in the preseason with several teams that reached the postseason last year. Anytime we can bring BYU and Utah State to the UCCU Center, it creates a great atmosphere for our community. I think this schedule will prepare us for our inaugural Big West season and position us for postseason opportunities."

Utah Valley opens the season Nov. 3 against Park University, the first of two non-Division I contests, and begins a three-game homestand at the UCCU Center. The stretch also includes games against Santa Clara and Nevada on Nov. 14.

The Wolverines face back-to-back Power Four opponents later in November, beginning with a road game at Utah on Nov. 20 before hosting BYU on Nov. 24. The matchup marks the Cougars' first trip to Orem since the 2016-17 season.

December begins with Utah Valley's first Big West contests as the Wolverines host Long Beach State on Dec. 3 and travel to Sacramento State on Dec. 5. Utah Valley then returns home to face Utah State on Dec. 9 before road games at Pepperdine and a home matchup against UC Davis. The Wolverines close nonconference play against Western Colorado.

Conference action resumes Dec. 31 at Cal State Bakersfield before UVU travels to CSUN on Jan. 2 for the first meeting between the programs.

The Wolverines open their Big West home slate against UC San Diego on Jan. 7 and UC Irvine on Jan. 9. Following road contests at UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly, Utah Valley faces former WAC rival California Baptist and UC Riverside on the road Jan. 21-23.

UVU returns to home for a four-game homestand featuring CSUN on Jan. 28, Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 30, UC Riverside on Feb. 4 and California Baptist on Feb. 6.

The Wolverines travel to UC Irvine and UC San Diego on Feb. 11 and Feb. 13, respectively, before hosting Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 18 and Sacramento State on Feb. 20. Utah Valley closes its final road trip of the regular season at Long Beach State on Feb. 25 and Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 27.

The regular season concludes with home games against Cal Poly on March 4 and UC Santa Barbara on March 6.

The 2027 Big West Championship will be held March 10-13 at Lee's Family Forum in Henderson, Nevada.
